Bonfire Coffeehouse was founded by three sisters who were born and raised right here in Amagansett, where the beach was their backyard and conversations around the bonfire were part of everyday life — familiar, unhurried, and full of connection.

We opened Bonfire to create the atmosphere that reminded us of why we always return to the East End: A spot where locals and visitors could slow down and feel at home.

Whether you’re catching up with an old friend, taking a break after a beach walk, or setting up your laptop to get some work done — Bonfire is your Third Space.

We’ve got free Wi-Fi, plenty of seating, and food and drinks made to fuel your day, not just fill it.

Why We Started

Bonfire is shaped by the stories, food, and values of our Italian grandparents — our grandfather from Basilicata and Sicilian grandmother. Pete and Rose Rana chose Amagansett to raise their family and develop their entrepreneurial spirit, where they would grow and expand their businesses from a barbershop to a taxi service, a paint store, and a clothing store, while also establishing the first Amagansett School bus service and volunteering at the Amagansett Fire Department.

At Bonfire, we carry that legacy forward with authentic gelato made from ingredients imported from Italy, organic espresso, and a love for the town that raised us.

We grew up in Amagansett — beach bonfires, bikes rides and all.

Bonfire is our way of creating space for real moments: a quick hello, a long catch-up, or a ritual that feels like yours.
